Recreation in Sherman County, Oregon
Sherman County, Oregon is a beautiful area with breathtaking views and many opportunities for adventure and enjoyment. There are three rivers near Wasco, Oregon- the Columbia, John Day and Deschutes River- which provide a multitude of ways to spend a day or a week. There are hunting and fishing; hiking, boating, windsurfing, picnicking; the list of outdoor activities goes on and on. In the winter, Mt. Hood and its world-class ski facilities are not far off. In the summer, take a hike or visit one of th local museums.
If you enjoy a more leisurely approach to travel, visit one of the many wineries and fine eating establishments in the Columbia Gorge, or take one of Oregon's scenic driving routes to enjoy the fantastic views.
